Here in Cary, we believe all citizens should have an equal opportunity to participate in recreation. Our Play It Forward Scholarship Fund allows residents to apply for funds that can be used towards Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources programs.

Scholarship Donations

There are many needs in our community that have been met because of the support of this program. Your tax-deductible donations of any amount are welcome anytime. Anyone can make a donation to the scholarship fund by contacting a community center directly, adding it to your online registration, or directly through our website. Application Information

Scholarship assistance is available to Cary residents only.

Dorcas Ministries reviews all scholarship applications to determine eligibility on an annual basis. To help expedite the process, please complete the scholarship application form. Take the completed application, along with the other requested documentation listed on the application, to Dorcas Ministries located at 189 High House Road, Cary, NC 27511, in the suite to the right of the Dorcas Thrift Shop. They can be reached by phone at (919) 469-9861, ext. 203, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.

After the screening process, Dorcas Ministries contacts Cary staff, who will then contact scholarship applicants about registration and any scholarship funds.
