Pops, Play, Pups, Park!
Join Cary's Popsicles, Playtime & Pups, a perfect end-of-the-summer event at Jack Smith Park for the entire family to enjoy, including your furry canine friends. Participate in family games, crafts, and other fun activities to celebrate the end of summer.
Children can cool off with popsicles and splash around the sprayground, while enjoying creating crafts, playing fun games, exploring bubble-making skills, winning fabulous prizes, and more!
Exciting events for our four-legged friends include puppy activities, treats, and a Pup Parade around Jack Smith Park. The parade will feature a costume and float contest. The parade contest is free, a registered event celebrating NC Year of the Trail. Information on the parade will be sent to you when you register for the event. Dress your pup up and consider making a pup parade "float" See Dog Costume and Float Contest Rules below. Afterward, join us to take a photo at the Pup-A-Razzi, make a commemorative take-home paw print, and get your doggie a treat! Entry to the dog park will be free for this one exclusive day. Please note that the gated Dog Parks entrance is for Adults, Dogs, and children 13 and up. Entrance to the Dog Park at Jack Smith Park requires a waiver which will be provided at the entrance.
This event provides an opportunity for everyone to give back to our community! Please bring “back-to-school” supply items or a bag of dog food. We'll happily deliver these items to a Cary public school and local animal shelter.
Check back soon for an activity schedule of events. Please note the rules of Jack Smith Park, Jack Smith dog park, sprayground, and the parade costume & float contest below.
