• Jack Smith Park Playground: A unique structure for ages 2-12.
• Jack Smith Park Sprayground: The Town's first splash pad has seven water features and is for ages 12 and younger. 
• Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Pets are prohibited from entering the in the sprayground.  
• Skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, etc. are prohibited inside the park.
• Parking permitted only in designated areas.
• All alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
• Open fires are prohibited, except in designated areas.
• Damage to plants and turf is prohibited.
• Injuring or endangering wildlife is prohibited.

• The Town's first splash pad has seven water features and is for ages 12 and younger. 
• No lifeguard on duty. Use at your own risk.
• Splash pad availability is weather dependent. You must exit with any sign of thunder, lightning, or severe weather.
• Swimsuits and/or appropriate attire must be worn at all times.
• Swim diapers must be worn by children who are not potty trained.
• No pets, food, drink or glass containers allowed.
• No running or rough play.
• Do not drink the splash pad water.
• No skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, scooters, or wheeled toys on the splash pad.

Special Event Information For Off-Leash Dog Park: 

Non-members will have exclusive free access during the event to the off leash area, waiver must be completed to enter.  The waiver will be provided at the dog park entrance that day of the event.

Any dog owner entering the Jack Smith Dog Park must read the Dog Park rules and basic etiquette.

Some rules to keep in mind:

Children 12 and under are not allowed in the gated dog park area.

Keep your dog on a leash until you enter the off-leash areas, and carry a leash on you for each dog at all times while in the park.

You must always watch your dog, and please remember to pick up after your dog.

No food allowed in the gated area of the dog park.

Female dogs in heat are not allowed on the premises. Dogs under four months old are not allowed in the off-leash area.

Do not bring a dog with a known history of biting or fighting.

No strollers, bicycles, tricycles, big wheels, wagons, or roller-blades are allowed in the gate dog park, except wheelchairs used by people with physical challenges.

Parade Registration Costume and Float Contest Rules:

Registration is free for the parade. Nonetheless, if you can provide a small gift back to the community with either a “school item” or “canine food” gift,  we will provide this to a Cary school or local Animal Shelter.

Families and pups must be able to walk the parade route, and the wagon must be able to be pulled to participate in the contest.

Wagon Rules:

1. Wagon frame size recommended 3’x5’; you may build a frame using materials to create.
2. Gas and electric vehicles are not permitted.  You must be able to pull or push the float in the parade.
3. No noise makers
4. Decorations must stay on the float.

Therefore, no use of confetti, glitter, or other embellishments that can fall off, leave a mess behind, can be a choking hazard for children and dogs, or can deface or damage the park.
