Academy Select

As the premier training group at Cary Tennis Park for players 11-18, Select provides great opportunities for the player who has aspirations of playing collegiate or professional tennis. Entry is based on the player's USTA Southern Section ranking and requires an active tournament schedule. Select not only has a daily drop-in hitting clinic, but several different supplemental training clinics and athletic development sessions. Select also provides coaching at tournaments throughout the year, stroke analysis, and tournament scheduling guidance.

Academy Team

Team is a high level training group where players 13-18 can improve their skills and train with other peers. Entry is based on the player's USTA North Carolina ranking. In addition to the drop-in hitting clinic, Team also has small group clinics where players can get a 3-4 player to coach ratio in order to work on certain parts of their game. This is also a great training opportunity for Varsity high school players wanting to tune up for the upcoming season.

Tournament Planning

CTP Academy coaches are committed to junior player development and growth. This includes tactical training, technical development, and tournament scheduling. All of these are paramount to a player's success.

Tournament Scheduling: We hold parent meetings to discuss video analysis, goal setting, tournament schedules and expectations. These meetings are a great way for coaches and parents to discuss a game plan for the individual player.

Tournament Coaching: Cary Tennis Park Academy coaches provide tournament coaching throughout the year. Coaches travel around the Southern Section providing pre- and post-match coaching to all Academy players.

Facilitating College Placement: During a player's high school years, coaches can help players navigate the college recruitment path. This includes working through the timeline, talking to coaches, advising families of their options, and more. Our coaches have extensive experience in this process and are well equipped to help facilitate college placement at any level.
