Cary has 19 multipurpose fields in its park inventory.  Multipurpose Fields are typically used for any type of sport such as football, soccer, lacrosse, etc.  These fields are located throughout Cary and are of various sizes.  Some of these fields are leased to organizations on long term lease agreements so availability may be limited throughout the year based on scheduled programming.  When not programmed or reserved, fields are available on a first come, first serve availability for free play activity.  However, organized groups may not use these fields for organized play without renting / reserving the fields.  Not all of the fields are available to be reserved and programmed activities and reservations always take priority over free play.

Description of Multipurpose Fields

Davis Drive Park - These four fields are managed, maintained, and programmed by North Carolina Futbol Club Youth.  For rental information, please call 919-834-3951.  These fields are programmed heavily so prime-time rental and open play are very limited.

• Field 1 is located to the left of the comfort station.  It is a small non-lighted natural grass multipurpose field that measures 70 x 50 yards.  It can be expanded to 100 x 55 yards.

• Field 2 is a non-lighted natural grass multipurpose field that measures 65 x 45 yards but it can be expanded to 95 x 65 yards.

• Field 3 is a non-lighted natural grass multipurpose field that measures 105 x 70 yards but it is routinely used for small sided play with fields measuring approximately 35 x 25 yards.

• Field 4 It is a non-lighted natural grass multipurpose field that measures 85 x 70 yards but it is routinely used for small sided play with fields measuring approximately, 35 x 25 yards.

Ed Yerha Park - This small field is located to the left of the comfort station.  It is a non-lighted natural grass multipurpose field that measures 70 x 40 yards.  There are no soccer goals on this field.  

Green Hope Elementary School Park - These 3 fields are managed, maintained, and programmed by North FC Cary.  For rental information, please email soccer@fccary.com.  These fields are programmed heavily so prime-time rental and open play are very limited.

• Field 1 is a non-lighted natural grass multipurpose field that measures 120 x 72 yards.  It is the field located closest to the sand volleyball courts.

• Field 2 is a non-lighted natural grass multipurpose field that measures 117 x 57 yards.  It is located adjacent to field 1 in the corner of the fields.

• Field 3 is a non-lighted natural grass multipurpose field that measures 114 x 55 yards.  It is located behind the school

Middle Creek Park

• Field 1 is a lighted artificial turf multipurpose field located on the right side when entering the complex by the comfort station.  It measures 112 x 65 yards and has permanent soccer lines.  This fields is reserved on a long term lease agreement so availability to rent or for free play is limited.

• Field 2 is a lighted artificial turf multipurpose field located on the left side when entering the complex by the comfort station.  It measures 112 x 65 yards and has permanent soccer lines. 

Mills School Park - These 3 fields are located on Wake County Public School Property and are unavailable for public use during the hours of 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday to Friday when school is in session due to school use.

• Field 1 is a lighted grass multipurpose field located behind Mills Park Middle School located inside the track.  This field measures 120 x 60 yards. 

• Field 2 is a lighted artificial turf multipurpose field behind Mills Park Middle School.  This field measures 119 x 67 yards and has permanent soccer and lacrosse lines for men's and women's lacrosse.  This field is reserved on a long term lease agreement so availability to rent or for free play is limited.

• Field 3 is a non-lighted small grass multipurpose field located behind Mills Park Elementary School.  This field measures approximately 70 x 40 yards.  This field is not able to be reserved. 

North Cary Park - This field is managed, maintained, and programmed by North Carolina Futbol Club Youth.  For rental information, please call 919-834-3951.  This field is programmed heavily so prime-time rental and open play are very limited.

• Field 1 is a non-lighted natural grass multipurpose field that measures 100 x 65 yards. but it is routinely used as 2 small sided fields measuring approximately, 65 x 45 yards.

Penny Road Elementary School Park - This field is a small non-lighted natural grass multipurpose field that measures 90 x 50 yards. It is part of Penny Road Elementary School so it is not available during school hours.  It is typically available beginning at 6:00 P.M. Monday to Friday and anytime on Saturday or Sunday.

Prestonwood Soccer Complex - These 2 fields are managed, maintained, and programmed by North Carolina Futbol Club Youth.  For rental information, please call 919-834-3951.  These fields are programmed heavily so prime-time rental and open play are very limited.

• Field 1 is the first field as you drive into the complex on the left.  It is a non-lighted natural grass multipurpose field that measures 110 x 65 yards. 

• Field 2 is the second field at the end of the drive.  It is a non-lighted natural grass multipurpose field that measures 110 x 65 yards.

Thomas Brooks Park - These 2 fields are reserved on a long term lease agreement so availability to rent or for free play is limited.

• Field 1 is a lighted artificial turf multipurpose field located on the upper level of the 2 fields.  It measures 102 x 57 yards and has permanent soccer lines.  It is suitable for 11v11 play up to ages 13/14 but would be considered too small for 11v11 play for adult play.  

• Field 2 is is a lighted artificial turf multipurpose field located on the lower level of the 2 fields next to the comfort station.  It measures 102 x 57 yards and has permanent soccer lines.  It is suitable for 11v11 play up to ages 13/14 but would be considered too small for 11v11 play for adult play.  

Teams and organized groups are required to rent space.
