As part of the 40 Years of Cary Greenways celebration, the Town is commemorating its very first greenway on November 2.  The Town’s first greenway was the .15-mile segment located between Tarbert Drive and Gatehouse Drive near Annie Jones Park. Meet at Annie Jones Park at 2 p.m. for a half-mile greenway walk to the location of the first greenway, where public art and signage is being installed (ride provided for those unable to walk). Light refreshments will be served, and a four-mile bike ride will follow for those interested. The bike ride will cover varying terrain on the greenway, Lake Pine Drive bike lanes, and on Apex Lake Greenway.
