Cary strives to serve all segments of unique populations within the community. Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources provides unique programs, events and services that focus on seniors, teens, and persons with disabilities. Each program area includes qualified staff that plan and implement a variety of activities throughout the year. The Town’s delivery of services for special populations are categorized as:

Seniors

Programs and services for citizens age 55+ to Create Active Retirement Years through the Cary Senior Center.

Teens

Programs and events for middle and high school age students including the Cary Teen Council which provides leadership, volunteer, and social opportunities.

Specialized Recreation and Inclusion Services

Specialized programs and inclusion services for persons of all ages with disabilities and inclusion for the same population in traditional Town programming and events.

Our mission is to foster inclusivity by removing barriers and ensuring equal access to enriching recreational opportunities for all.
