Water

Providing exceptional water and utilities services is at the heart of making the Town of Cary one of the best places in the nation to live, work and raise a family. Water from our source, B. Everett Jordan Reservoir, is treated at our Cary/Apex Water Treatment Facility and reliably delivered through a safe and resilient system.

Our innovative reclaimed water system and water conservation programs help ensure Cary’s water demand is met well into the future. Help preserve and protect our water resources:

Sewer

Committed to providing a reliable wastewater collection and treatment system, we perform regular maintenance and inspection that includes our annual smoke testing program. Our Pretreatment Program includes the Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) Control Ordinance for restaurants and non-residential facilities.

Stormwater

Our community’s success at maintaining a healthy environment is based on a shared responsibility between our Town government and all who live and work in our community. Our stormwater education and regulatory initiatives, such as urban transition buffer rules, encourage environmentally sound development. Stormwater ordinances address floodplain management, watershed protection,  illegal discharges and sediment and erosion control.

Committed to helping our citizens address drainage, we provide technical guidance.
