Women's Adventure Film Tour 2023 (Not Rated)

The Women’s Adventure Film Tour is a celebration of the inspiring women around us who are doing extraordinary things in the name of adventure. Every year, our selection of unique films is carefully chosen to show awesome women achieving their personally adventurous goals. Being adventurous doesn’t always have to mean being the fastest, going the highest, or doing the most extreme things. Adventure for most of us is stepping outside our comfort zone and climbing our own personal Everest. The films showcase real stories about women from a variety of cultures and sports around the world.

BELOW SURFACE
Below Surface follows longboard surfer Lucy Small as she grasps the baton from the renegades who fought for equal opportunity in the world of surfing decades before her. Director: Chloe Keeley

ALL IN

THIS IS BETH
‘This is Beth’ takes an intimate look beneath the forward facing success of her career, diving into rock climber Beth Rodden’s grapple with body image and cruel self-talk, and celebrating how she transformed this dynamic to rediscover the love of her sport and herself. Director: Jen Randall

MARDI & THE WHITES
In the last 20 years Mardi’s dedicated much of her time to exploring the landscape in the White Mountains (unfortunately coined “The Whites” by New Englanders) on Abenaki land. Recently, she has focused on creating more opportunities for Black folks to join her in appreciating this magnificent wilderness. Enjoying this land with her community has been a liberating balm that has strengthened her sense of identity as an outdoorswoman. Director: Paula Champagne

RACING ARIZONA
Liz Sampey is an international biking phenom, having made it into the record books as the fastest woman to ever complete the Arizona Trail Race. At 750 miles, Liz rode from Arizona to Utah in just over 9 days and 11 hours. Director: James Q Martin

SHERI
Sheri Tingey’s 60 year career as a woman who has defined the odds by starting a company at age 50 that has revolutionized the outdoor industry. The film is a story about the hurdles she overcame to launch the company, about the ways she hid from view so that people would judge the boats, not her role in creating them. Director: James Q Martin
