For the last 24 years, Diamante has presented the Latino Diamante Awards, to honor, recognize and promote the achievements and contributions of Hispanic/Latino individuals and/or organizations in North Carolina. The Awards show ceremony showcases the culture and heritage of the people of Mexico, Central America, South America, Spanish-speaking Caribbean and Spain. The Latino Diamante Awards recognizes in the areas of education, health, economic development, community volunteerism, cultural enrichment, advocacy and youth leadership. Latino and non-Latino community members can be honored and nominated by the public.
