The Land Development Ordinance (LDO) regulates how land may be developed within Cary and its planning jurisdiction. The ordinance controls zoning, subdivision of land, building appearance, landscaping, signs, parking and other aspects of development.

The LDO took effect July 1, 2003, replacing the Unified Development Ordinance and is amended from time to time.

The online LDO may not reflect the most current amendments adopted by Town Council.  The listing below includes amendments approved since the last electronic update to the LDO.
