Cary’s Development Compliance Officials (DCO) provide a range of services, including final site inspections, issuing fence and sign permits, and enforcing the Land Development Ordinance regarding all aspects of zoning.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Illegal signage
- Commercial vehicles parked in neighborhoods
- Landscape violations
- Illegal tree clearing
- Junk cars
- Site plan violations
- Home occupations
Cary DCOs have jurisdiction within the Town limits and properties within the Town’s Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ). Cary currently employs three full time DCOs and a Code Compliance Manager.
