Permitting Information

Remodeling, repairs, alterations, decks, porches, and many other projects require a residential building permit.

Apply for your permit online and schedule a SPOT review or let your application go through the regular review cycle (usually seven days or less). See below to determine if your project is eligible for a scheduled SPOT review which is typically completed in 1 - 4 business days. There is no additional cost for the SPOT review.

Both processes begin with your electronic application.

Please reference our Residential Guide if you are new to the permitting and inspection process.
