Cary created Organizational Development (OD), a division within the Town Manager’s office, in 2019 to help people thrive in our culture and meet the demands of the future. Cary has always been great, but together we are co-creating a truly unique culture that keeps what’s precious in the organization and marries it with Town Manager Sean R. Stegall’s leadership approach. 

This work involves:

• Developing Talent: OD creates pathways for developing multifaceted employees by maximizing their strengths to unlock the full potential of every person.
• Maximizing Organizational Effectiveness: OD seeks to align our people, culture, and structures to improve the overall effectiveness of the organization.
• Sustaining and Evolving the OneCary Culture: OD strives to uphold and enhance our OneCary culture.
