Powers and Duties

The Athletic Committee serves as an advisory body to the PRCR Advisory Board. This committee offers input and perspective to Cary Sports staff on policies, rules, and issues related to sports programming and administration. Members serve as a “voice” for coaches, parents and participants; offering constructive feedback and suggestions in an effort to enhance Cary sports programming and administration.

Membership

The Athletic Committee consists of eleven members in addition to the chairperson, one of which will be a Teen Council member. Members are appointed from within Cary's corporate limits. All appointments to the committee are for three-year terms, except where unexpired terms are being filled.

Meetings

The committee meets every other month at 6:00 p.m. typically in Conference Room #11130, 316 N. Academy St., Cary, and requires approximately 2 hours per month for meetings. Members may also be expected to volunteer at athletic events and attend public meetings.
