The mission of the Marketing division is to implement the vision of the Imagine Cary Community Plan to promote Cary throughout the world as a model of a highly regarded and well-managed community. In everyday conversations, Marketing likes to call this vision “Cary, USA.”
During the final quarter of FY 2024, Cary’s name was prominent in national and international spotlights, earning accolades, such as being named “South’s Best City on Rise” by “Southern Living,” and hosting for the second year The Soccer Tournament, the world’s only global soccer festival, which also features the world’s highest-stakes professional women’s tournament. These accomplishments stem from Cary’s renowned reputation for excellence and, additionally, serve as opportunities to expand brand awareness for Cary through strategic marketing efforts in social, paid, and earned media.
Cary also successfully launched its first e-commerce store at shop.carync.gov. This website offers a range of high-quality Cary-branded products, including notebooks, umbrellas, pint glasses, and more. The store offers a new channel for expanding the reach of the Cary brand, attracting customers from as far away as Florida.
