Cary issued 250 single-family permits this quarter. The top three subdivisions permitted were Alston (51), Savaan (50), and Cornerstone Townes (27). Overall, permits for new single-family homes increased 25% in comparison with the same period last year. 

In addition, Cary issued 193 single-family certificates of occupancy (COs), an average of 3 certificates per workday. This is a 7% decrease compared with the COs issued in the same period last year and a 15% increase from last quarter. The subdivisions receiving the most COs were Brickyard (36), Channing Park (27), and Savaan (24).  

This quarter, Cary issued 477 residential alteration and addition permits. This is a 7% increase from the same period last year and a 9% decrease from last quarter.
