Citizens and visitors could see the Mask Up, Cary! campaign all over town this quarter. This multimedia campaign, which encompassed social media, TV, streaming video, digital advertising, and printed signs along greenways, in parks, at facilities, and at local businesses, encouraged the public to remember their masks and keep them up when they are out and about to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Mask Up, Cary! debuted its first TV commercial, which can be viewed at www.townofcary.org/maskup, in January, featuring Council Member Jennifer Robinson and Mayor Harold Weinbrecht. Cary also partnered with the Cary Chamber of Commerce to provide materials to local businesses. As the governor’s executive order mandates mask wearing, signs in and around Cary parks, greenways, and facilities remain in place and online messaging continues.
