Cary issued 286 single-family permits this quarter. The top three subdivisions permitted were Channing Park (42), Brickyard (33), and Savaan (25). Overall, permits for new single-family homes increased 74% in comparison with the same period last year. 

In addition, Cary issued 228 single-family certificates of occupancy (COs), an average of 2.4 certificates per workday. This is a 5% increase in comparison with the COs issued in the same period last year and a 19% increase from last quarter. The subdivisions receiving the most COs were Savaan (63), Brickyard (34), and Channing Park (20).  

This quarter, Cary issued 523 residential alteration and addition permits. This is a 57% increase from the same period last year and a 23% increase from last quarter.
