Be Ready in Cary with ReadyWake

Ready Wake Icon - Medium

In times of emergency, the Town of Cary understands the importance of timely and accurate communication. Residents, employees and business owners in both the Wake and Chatham County portion of Cary are encouraged to visit ReadyWake to elect to receive real-time notifications from Cary Town government.

By registering with ReadyWake, the Town will be able to notify you via your preferred means of contact—phone, text and email—when there is an imminent threat to life, health and property. Examples include but are not limited to: hazmat situations, urgent information related to police, fire or public health and urgent utility information like boil water notices.

Questions about the system functionality or troubleshooting the registration process should be directed to Wake County Emergency Management at (919) 856-6480. The Town of Cary may test its portion of ReadyWake once annually in September in accordance with National Disaster Preparedness Month; activations also count as a test.

To register online and to protect personal information, users must have an email address. Don’t have an email address? Download, print and return this form to the Town Manager’s Office at Cary Town Hall, 316 N. Academy Street.
