Quinard Drive is collector street that is intended to provide connectivity between SE Maynard Road and Trinity Road, thereby improving east-west circulation for the Eastern Cary Gateway Special Planning Area. The first phase of Quinard Drive was constructed as part of the initial phase of the Fenton development. 

The 2nd phase of Quinard is being provided by the Fenton developer as part of a Development Agreement. This partnership allows Cary to obtain a much-needed collector street and achieve improved connectivity for the overall community.  Fenton has contracted with Fred Smith Company to construct this final quarter-mile segment of roadway. The 2nd phase of Quinard Drive began construction in June 2024 and is anticipated to be completed in July 2025. 

Phase 2 of Quinard Drive will consists of a two-lane roadway with landscaped median, bike lanes, and sidewalks on each side of the street. The project also incorporates a necessary water main extension that will complete a service loop and improve service for both Fenton and the surrounding areas.
