Description: A 650-ft sidewalk gap exists today on the south side of W. Boundary Street. This project builds this missing link improving connections between the neighborhood, Northwoods school, and greenway, transit, downtown Cary and nearby shopping.

Description: This project will fill in a 1,800-ft gap to connect the Lochmere neighborhood to commercial centers on Tryon Rd and the nearby Kids Together Park.

Description: This project will complete two gaps along W Chatham St, one gap from the an under construction property to Trimble Ave, and another from a daycare driveway to WW Maynard Rd.

Description: This project will construct a 10-ft street side trail for 1,450 LF consistent with the Cary Community Plan improving bike/ped and ADA access into downtown. The project includes stormwater drainage improvements, including adding curb & gutter.

Site Limits:  Connect existing greenways adjacent to Thomas Brooks Park

Description: The proposed street-side trail extends south along the frontage of Thomas Brooks Park from Green Hope School Road to the park’s main driveway and park trail system. This project will also include a 250-ft street-side trail on the north side of Green Hope School Road connecting the existing greenway to the signal.  Crosswalks and pedestrian signals will be added to the Green Level Church Rd/Green Hope School Rd intersection. This trail connects nearby neighborhoods to Thomas Brooks Park and the USA Baseball complex.

Site Limits: High House Rd to north of Waldo Rood Blvd

Description: This project constructs a 1,250 foot street-side trail along the west side of Jenks Carpenter Road. Cary recently completed a signal project at the Jenks Carpenter / High House Road intersection which added new signalization and pedestrian push buttons and crosswalks. The proposed street-side trail will connect neighborhoods to nearby commercial shopping.

Site Limits: Maltland Dr to east of Lochmere Dr

Description: This project constructs a 900 foot sidewalk along the south side of Lilly Atkins Road. The proposed sidewalk will allow residents to safely walk to the Lochmere Swim and Tennis Club and access other sidewalks and trails within Lochmere.

Description: This project will fill in three sidewalk gaps to improve safety and mobility to neighborhoods, nearby schools and Middle Creek Park: Optimist Farm (East) from Henderson Rd to Homeplace Dr, Optimist Farm (West) from W. Lake Rd to Glade Hill Dr and W. Lake Rd from Optimist Farm Rd to Piney Branch Dr.

Description: The project will complete the sidewalk connection on the North side of Penny Rd connecting neighborhoods, Penny Rd Elementary School and commercial along Kildaire Farm Rd

Description: The project will fill in 2 remaining gaps on the south side of the street providing a continuous route between the American Tobacco Trail and O’Kelly Chapel Rd allowing connection for multiple neighborhoods to this regional trail.
