Home MenuStreet Renaming Projects
The Town of Cary is a thriving community that continues to grow and evolve. Occasionally, street segments must be renamed to ensure that Cary has an organized and continuous street network that provides clarity to residents and service delivery vehicles, and ensures public safety during emergency response.
Cary follows the processes laid out in Standard Procedure 96 to guide the street naming and renaming process. Town Council is the final authority in approving all street renamings, and depending on the circumstances, staff will recommend that Council either take immediate action on the street name change or hold a public hearing to evaluate the impact of the renaming.
