A Cary program funded by a National Inflation Reduction Act grant
Building on the success of Cary's My Tree, Our Tree program, we're excited to announce the launch of Branching Out. The Branching Out program is funded by a one million dollar grant from the US Forest Service Urban & Community Forestry IRA Program. This dynamic new program will engage Cary citizens in a comprehensive reforestation program. Although our entire community will benefit from the outcomes of the Branching Out Program, due to the specifics of this IRA funding, most of the project activities will only take place in designated census blocks within our community. To accomplish our goals, Cary will collaborate with community partners including Project Pando and Trees for the Triangle. Learn more about the program's main initiatives below.
