Description: Inspiration for the brick sculptures came from the site's former use as a brickyard and to celebrate the trades people that work in the Brick industry in North Carolina since the 1700s.
1960 - The original manufacturing facility, with a capacity of 25 million bricks a year, opens on Highway 55 on the southern edge of Durham.
1965 - Manufacturing expansion doubles annual production capacity to 70 million bricks.
1968 - Triangle Brick is one of the first brick companies in the US to completely automate the manufacturing process
