Bike Corral Pilot Installation
To address the growing demand for secure bike parking downtown, Cary has installed two bike corrals as a pilot project. A bike corral is a designated area in a public space, typically on a street or sidewalk, equipped with racks or stands for secure bicycle parking. One coral has been installed on Academy Street near Park Street and the second location is on Chatham Street near Crosstown Pub. The locations have been selected based on factors such as proximity to popular destinations, dimensions, space availability, opportunities to improve motorist sight distance, safety and parking demand. Check them out the next time you're downtown!
