Mermaid Theater of Nova Scotia presents Good Night Moon & Runaway Bunny

Few writers have been as attuned to the concerns and emotions of childhood as Margaret Wise Brown. Brown, a former teacher, believed that very young children could be fascinated by the simple pleasures of the world around them. Goodnight Moon is a celebration of familiar nighttime rituals, while The Runaway Bunny’s pretend tale of leaving home evokes reassuring responses from his loving mum. Both tales feature endearing rabbit characters, and the soothing rhythms of bunny banter and dream-like imagery never fail to infuse young readers with a reassuring sense of security. Cary Ballet Presents “The Nutcracker Suite”  

Friday & Saturday, December 20 & 21 | 11 a.m. | Ages: 4 years and up 

During this one-hour spectacular, enjoy a delightful, condensed, narrated version of the holiday classic “The Nutcracker,” in addition to a mini-ballet demonstration staged by Cary Ballet Company’s Artistic Director, Mariaelena Ruiz. Afterward, join us for a special Nutcracker Tea. Decorate a teacup, take photos with featured ballerinas and leave with some goodies. For more, visit caryballetcompany.org.
