About the Gifting Tree Project

Stroll along S. Academy Street and inside the Downtown Cary Park as it is transformed into a dazzling Christmas tree display. Local families, schools, and organizations decorate their trees in a competition to win a donation to the nonprofit group of their choice. This year, we will again have prizes for the top three trees. 

Voting for the 13th annual Gifting Tree Project will be open December 7 - 22, 2024.

A limited number of Gifting Tree Project trees will be available to purchase on a first-come, first-served basis from November 14-24.

Voting: December 7 - 22
Remove Decorations: December 27 - January 1
Winners Announcement: By January 3

All prizes are awarded as donations to a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of the winner's choice.
