The Cary Arts Center is committed to making its programs and the facility accessible to people of all abilities.
Access
The Cary Arts Center has an Upper Level, Main Level and a Lower Level. All levels are accessible by elevator. Rooms on all levels, including the theatre, are also accessible to patrons who use wheelchairs. Our facility features ADA-approved signage, handrails and automatic door openers on public exterior doors.
Drop-off & Parking
Patrons with limited mobility may be dropped off in the parking lot along Faculty Drive, located on the west side of the Cary Arts Center.
A limited number of parking spaces are available in the parking lot along Faculty Drive, located on the west side of the Cary Arts Center. A handicap hang tag or license plate must be displayed in order to park in these spaces. Patrons park on a first-come, first-served basis.
Restrooms
Wheelchair-accessible restrooms and water fountains are located on all levels of the Cary Arts Center.
Theater Seating
The Cary Arts Center offers accessible seating in the Orchestra and the Parterre sections of the theater for patrons in wheelchairs. In addition, there are seating options for guests with visual, hearing and mobility disabilities.

Hearing Devices
Our theater features an assisted listening system. Receivers with either headphones or hearing aid compatible induction loops amplify the sound from the stage and may be used from any seat. Please see the House Manager in the lobby before the performance with a photo ID to check out a free receiver.
Sign Language Interpretation
The Cary Arts Center can provide sign language interpretation for guests with hearing disabilities. Contact us no later than one month prior to the performance to request this service.
Audio Described Performances
Audio Description services are provided upon request. Contact us no later than two months prior to the performance to request this service.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome inside the Cary Arts Center and must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times. If you intend to bring a service animal to an event, please notify your ticket representative at the time of purchase so that an aisle seat may be reserved for you.
Large Print & Braille Programs
Scripts
For theatrical performances at the Cary Arts Center, a copy of the script can be made available upon request one week prior to the performance date. All scripts must be returned to the front desk.
