3-16-23 Stack and Slash Baby Quilt
•(8) 1/4-yard cuts of fabric or fat quarters - 100% cotton prints in your chosen color palette. For best results use a range of light to dark fabrics that feature small-scale prints that each "read" as monochromatic (meaning it doesn't have a bunch of different colors in the print). Avoid large-scale or busy prints. Choose a variety of prints that center around a specific color scheme (example: red, white, and blue).
•1 1/2 continuous yards of a quilt backing fabric of your choice, 100% cotton, can be solid color or print, but should complement your chosen color palette.
•1/2-yard quilt binding fabric (narrow strip that goes around edge of quilt), 100% cotton, can use one of the prints from your quilt top or something different. A solid or simple-patterned darker print provides a nice frame to the quilt.
•crib-sized batting, 45"x60" 100% cotton or at least 80% cotton is preferable to an all-polyester batting
