Herbert C. Young Community Center (HYCC) is committed to making its programs and facility accessible to people of all abilities.
Access
HYCC has two levels of entry. The upper level (Lobby, Room A, Room B, Kitchen, and staff offices) is accessible from the south entrance facing Wilkinson Avenue. The lower level (gym) is accessible from the east entrance facing the parking deck. HYCC has ADA-approved signage, handrails, and ramps to access the main entrances.

A curb cut to the lower entrance is located on the east side of HYCC with a ramp for drop-offs.
Restrooms
There are wheelchair-accessible men’s and women’s restrooms available on the main floor and large wheelchair-accessible single-stall restrooms available on the lower level. There is a wheelchair-accessible water fountain located on the upper and lower levels.
Sign Language Interpretation
HYCC can provide sign language interpretation for guests who require it. Please request this service 30 days in advance of the event.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome inside HYCC provided they remain on a leash or in a harness at all times. If you are bringing a service animal to an event, please notify the front desk staff when you arrive.
