The Stevens Nature Center is one story and houses an exhibit hall and classroom indoors. Outside, the Nature Center features gardens, a Children’s Nature Trail, the Outdoor Education shelter, and hiking trails. To access the Exhibit Hall, classroom, gardens and hiking trail, follow the paved ramp from the main parking lot, then turn right to venture past the Children’s Nature Trail. The Children’s Nature Trail is fully accessible. Once past the Children’s area, turn left to enter the courtyard and garden area. The Exhibit Hall and classroom are accessible from the courtyard toward the building or can be accessed from the Outdoor Education shelter parking lot if needed. The access to the Outdoor Education shelter is just below the Children’s Nature Trail or from the Outdoor Education shelter parking lot. Wheelchairs can access short sections of the Swift Creek Loop and Chestnut Oak Loop trails; however, not the entire trail system. Stevens Nature Center also has ADA-approved signage, handrails, and ramps to access the main entrances.
