About Thomas Brooks Park 

The Thomas Brooks Softball/Baseball Complex has four 300-foot fields. The fields are labeled 5, 6, 7 and 8. Fields 5 and 6 can be converted to baseball field with up to 80' bases. Fields 7 and 8 can be converted to baseball field with up to 90' bases.  

The complex is home to Cary’s spring and fall adult softball program and North Carolina Central University Lady Eagles Softball.

Thomas Brooks, along with Middle Creek Softball/Baseball Complex, is home to the majority of the Wake County Middle School Club Baseball season in the spring. 

Thomas Brooks also hosts a variety of rentals and college softball events, as well as weekend youth and adult tournaments from March to November each year.  

Tournament weekend rentals begin yearly on the first weekend in March and continue until mid-November. Scheduling is completed in November and December prior to the calendar year.

Field Requests for 2025 are now being accepted.

Rental Rates

General Field Rental 

Field - $70/hr per field (includes initial field setup, any lights needed)

Game Fee - $195 (includes 2.5-hours of field time, game li

Youth and Adult Tournaments and Showcases 

$1700 per day (Included: All pre-tournament field setup, as time allows drags after 3rd game each field, batting cages use, any temporary fences, and any needed field lights. 

• 2-day Tournaments are preferred.
• An organization who is awarded must pay in full the tournament fee 8 days prior to scheduled weekend.
• If payment is not made 8-days prior to event a 10% late fee will be incurred.
• If tournaments cancel within 7-days a 50% cancellation fee will be applied to your account. Weather cancellation made by Cary staff appropriate fees will be returned.

Additional Fees

• Temporary Fence Fees: $100
• Batting Cage (only) - $40/hour
• Use of Thomas Brooks Park (including NTC parking lot) outside of field/complex reservations per day - $4500
• Parking lot reservation for use as remote parking for off-site events (per event) - $500-$1000.  This may be adjusted based on number of spaces needed/used or the parking lots being used.
