Directions to the Pittard Sears Road Parking Area

Pittard Sears Road at Nickel Creek Circle, Durham, NC 27713

From Durham and points north, go south on N.C. 751 to O’Kelly Chapel Road. Turn left onto O’Kelly Chapel for 2.4 miles crossing over the American Tobacco Trail. At Pittard Sears Road turn right and go 1.1 miles to the parking lot on the right just after crossing the trail again. Look for a white Triangle Rails-to-Trails Conservancy sign.

From Pittsboro, Jordan Lake and points west, go east on U.S. 64 taking the exit for N.C. 751 and going left, or north. Travel 5.6 miles to New Hope Church Road. At 2.4 miles you’ll cross over the American Tobacco Trail at the New Hope Church Road entrance and go 0.5 miles more to Yates Store Road. Turn left onto Yates Store and follow along for 2.4 miles to O’Kelly Chapel Road. Turn left and go 0.4 miles to Pittard Sears Road. At Pittard Sears Road turn left and go 1.1 miles to the parking lot on the right just after crossing the trail again. Look for a white Triangle Rails-to-Trails Conservancy sign.

From Cary go north on N.C. 55 to O’Kelly Chapel Road. Turn left, or west onto O’Kelly Chapel and go 1.5 miles to Pittard Sears Road. At Pittard Sears Road turn left and go 1.1 miles to the parking lot on the right just after crossing the trail again. Look for a white Triangle Rails-to-Trails Conservancy sign.

From Raleigh take the Triangle Expressway west to Cary. Take the N.C. Hwy 55 exit and go north, or right for 0.2 mile to O’Kelly Chapel Road. Turn left, or west onto O’Kelly Chapel and go 1.5 miles to Pittard Sears Road. At Pittard Sears Road turn left and go 1.1 miles to the parking lot on the right just after crossing the trail again. Look for a white Triangle Rails-to-Trails Conservancy sign.

From Durham and points north travel on N.C. Hwy 751 to Fayetteville Street. Turn left on Fayetteville and go 0.1 mile and turn right onto Scott King Road. The C.M. Herndon Park is 0.7 miles ahead on the left.

From Cary, Apex and points south take N.C. Hwy 751 north to Fayetteville Street. Turn left on Fayetteville and go 0.1 mile and turn right onto Scott King Road. The C.M. Herndon Park is 0.7 miles ahead on the left.
