301 N. Dixon Avenue
Named for Lexie Lee Lane (b. 1909 - d. 1981), Lexie Lane Park was Cary’s first official town park, opening in 1972. Lane was a U.S. Army WWII and Korean War veteran, and served as Cary’s town manager from 1967 to 1972. During that period, Cary prospered, and in 1971 celebrated its Centennial.
Today, Lexie Lane Park provides recreational and sports league fun for all ages with ballfields and a basketball court as well as a playground with mulch ground cover.
