Nature Programs Collage

The educational programs offered by the trained staff of the Stevens Nature Center focus on basic science concepts and local nature themes. Designed to engage participants in hands-on learning, our nature programs allow first-hand experiences in outdoor habitats, creating a relationship of respect and stewardship between participants and the environment. Nature programs are provided for toddlers (age 1 and up) through senior adults (age 55 and up). The entire family has ample opportunities to learn, appreciate, and comprehend the cycle of life in nature at Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve. Join our staff for a fun and exciting nature program and explore nature in the Piedmont of North Carolina!

Group Programs

Group Programs at Hemlock Bluffs

Group programs are one-hour, outdoor environmental education experiences led by trained staff at Hemlock Bluffs. These programs are designed to be enjoyable, educational outings to promote knowledge and appreciation of local flora and fauna.

We customize our programs to meet the specific needs of each group. If your group has special needs, objectives, or badge requirements, please express them when scheduling your program. We will do our best to ensure your visit exceeds expectations.

Fee: $50 ($45 for WCPSS)
Limit: 15 people, including adult chaperones

We ask that chaperones actively supervise their groups during the entire visit. Underage siblings are not appropriate for age-cohesive programs. If you have a large group, there is the option to schedule two groups at the same time or back-to-back group hikes.

Program requests are currently being taken for February through May. Requests must be made at least 45 days prior to the desired program date. Some seasons may book quickly. Submit a program request for your group today.
