Cary youth sports programs provide a fun learning and growing experience. Youth can benefit from league play in baseball, softball, and basketball, as well as a variety of sports camps/clinics. These programs provide a competitive recreation opportunity that promotes fitness and wellness to participants through team and individual league play. The goals of the programs include fun, participation, skill development, and sportsmanship.

Frequently Requested Contacts

Interested in a sport or recreational activity not offered by the town? Other area organizations may offer those sports and recreational activities. Cary is not affiliated with any of these organizations, so please contact them directly.

Volunteer Coaches

Cary relies on volunteer coaches for youth sports leagues. Coaches must be available for weekly practice and games. Each coach is required to be certified by the National Youth Sports Coaches Association and to pass a background check. It is important that coaches teach sportsmanship as well as sports skills. Anyone interested in coaching should visit the Volunteer Youth Coach webpage or email Sports@carync.gov for more information.

In the event of inclement weather, a decision regarding games will be made by staff. Information will be online at games.townofcarync.gov.
