ADA Transition Plan

Cary strives to assure that the services, programs, and activities offered are accessible. Although most Cary facilities were designed, built, and renovated to comply with federal and state accessibility code requirements, a consultant was hired in 2015 to assess all facilities and sites and prepare an ADA Transition Plan that identifies and prioritizes the removal of accessible barriers.

As Cary continues to improve accessibility to services, programs, and activities offered, here are links to current ADA improvement projects:

ADA Grievance

Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that public entities adopt and publish grievance procedures to assure the prompt and equitable resolution of complaints. The purpose of the ADA grievance procedure is to resolve as promptly as possible any problems, complaints, or conflicts related to the Cary’s ADA compliance without the need for the complainant to resort to other remedies available under the law.

If a grievant believes they have been discriminated against on the basis of a disability, the grievant should go to the Grievance Procedure page for more information. Cary's fillable ADA Grievance form can be found here.
