The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) is the official statement of the Town's financial position on June 30, at the close of the fiscal year. It has four parts:  

  • Introduction - Letter of transmittal, list of
    Town Council members, Cary mission statement and statement of values, list of and appointed and administrative staff, Cary organizational chart, 
    responsibilities of Town government by department, Town boards and commissions, and 
    Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting
  • Financial Section - Management analysis, basic financial statements, required supplementary pension information, associated independent auditor's report
  • Statistical Section - Comparative data, graphs and other information on taxes, revenues, expenditures, debt, socioeconomic data
  • Compliance Section - Schedules of federal and state awards (grants), including independent auditor opinions on compliance; debt coverage calculations in the Utility Systems Enterprise Fund as required with revenue bonds.
