As 2024 begins, so will the water main replacement project on Howland Avenue. The existing water main began experiencing water main breaks as it neared the end of its useful life. Water main design and procurement were expedited in 2023. During construction the water main will be upgraded to ductile iron pipe designed to the current Cary standards in order to continue providing high quality water service to the area.

This project will replace the water main along Howland Avenue beginning at Old Apex Road and ending where Howland Avenue becomes Bayoak Drive.

Project Award: The project has been awarded to Pipeline Utilities, Inc.
