Join local nonprofit organizations as they come together to share the great work they do all year round to support the Cary community. Located in section C, near the Herb Young Community Center. Each organization will offer a unique art-focused activity or demonstration that encourages hands-on interaction!

4-H Whale Robotics4-H Whale Robotics is a local nonprofit dedicated to inspiring students of all ages to expand their knowledge of STEM through competitive robotics. Activity: Robot showcase! Operate and learn about high-level robots built by students! |
American Turkish Association of NCAmerican Turkish Association of North Carolina (ATA-NC) was established in 1987. ATA-NC conducts many of their activities at the Turkish House in Cary since 2007. ATA-NC organizes Children's Day Festival of Cary together with Town of Cary. Turkish House is one of the venues of Cary Art Loop, a Final Friday event organized by Town of Cary. Activity: Create an evil eye. Learn Turkish history & the story of the evil eye while making your own. |
Asian FocusAsian Focus (AF) is a non-profit organization formed to promote, sponsor and support programs to help Asian Americans and immigrants of all generations. AF strives to help individuals and their families address the daily cultural and linguistic challenges to better acclimate into the American society. They hope to foster synergy and encourage participation from agencies and skilled professionals; promoting education, diversity and cultural exchange services for all underserved groups towards the betterment of tomorrow. Activity: Chopsticks Challenge - Engage your fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination by picking up unique items with chopsticks for the chance to decorate a paper fan. |
Cary Ballet CompanyCary Ballet Company has performed for over 25 years! As the area's oldest youth-based ballet Company, they annually present ten shows of the traditional Nutcracker, including three mini one-hour shows (one of these as a Sensory Sensitive show), and perform innovative contemporary or a story ballet in the spring. The Company's outreach programs take dancers and faculty into schools, The Carying Place, and senior communities to present this art form to those that might not otherwise visit the theater. Activity: Jump 2 to 1 in a Nutcracker dance! Learn how the 'jump from two feet to one foot' is used in the Nutcracker Russian Dance. Paint a wooden Nutcracker ornament to take with you. |
Cary Players Community TheatreCary Players Community Theatre is an inclusive and welcoming group of volunteers who provide opportunities for audiences to attend high-quality live performances and for actors, singers and dancers to perform on stage. They also offer many ways for people to be involved behind the scenes as directors, designers, carpenters, painters and technicians. Activity: Try theatrical tongue twisters & masks! Enter a free drawing for tickets to “The Addams Family” and color a theatre fan or mask while testing your acting skills. |
Concert Singers of CaryThe Concert Singers of Cary is a 34-year-old community chorus dedicated to the performance of outstanding vocal music from all traditions. Members come from all over the Triangle and join the 100 member Symphonic Choir through audition. Activity: Sing with us! Record part of a Holiday song to be added with others on social media, or color a Holiday ornament to be displayed at the Holiday Pops Concert. Hosted by Concert Singers of Cary. |
Friends of the Page-Walker HotelFind them at the Page Walker Arts & History Center Activity: Add to the "portrait" of growing Cary with a ribbon corresponding to the decade you arrived in Cary. Visitors can also decorate mini gourds! |
Hum SubHum Sub seeks to share India's culture and heritage with the communities of the North Carolina Triangle area and beyond through family-oriented cultural events geared toward learning, diversity awareness, and inclusivity while helping to build a stronger foundation for the next generation. Their signature events are Hum Sub Diwali (held in October each year) and Basant Bahar (held in spring each year). Their programs include stage performances, cultural exhibits, a wide variety of cuisine from local Indian restaurants, and craft sales from showcased vendors across the NC Triangle area and nearby states. Activity: Create traditional art. Choose between two iconic floor-decorations from India, Rangoli & Kolam. |
NC Conservation NetworkNC Conservation Network is a statewide nonprofit focused on protecting North Carolina’s environment and public health. Activity: Save our wetlands! Learn about how important NC’s wetlands are and make your very own “save our wetlands” sign! |
Nepal Center of North CarolinaNCNC is a center for Nepali communities to blend and foster relationships with other communities in North Carolina while maintaining Nepali culture and identity. Goals:
Activity: Create a Nepali Flag. Make your own flag of Nepal, while learning how the most unique flag in the world came to be. |
Raleigh Academy of Chinese LanguageFounded in 1995, the Raleigh Academy of Chinese Language (RACL) is a nonprofit, non-political, 501(c)(3) educational institution. Its objectives include promoting Chinese language, teaching Chinese and Oriental history and culture, and enhancing the understanding and friendship among various background people in their community in the Triangle area of North Carolina. RACL strives to reach its goal by conducting school year-long Saturday classes, sponsoring Chinese culture-oriented activities, and playing an active and contributing role in their community. Activity: Learn Chinese calligraphy & origami! Witness traditional Chinese writing and make origami animals and airplanes. |
Triangle Wind EnsembleThe Triangle Wind Ensemble is an adult wind ensemble based in North Carolina's Triangle region. Since 1999, many of the area's most talented wind and percussion players have joined together weekly to practice and perform an exciting range of music for audiences in both formal and informal settings. They aim to build community through music and to enrich the cultural lives of their musicians and audience members. Activity: Wind Music Trivia! Test your instrument knowledge – there are surprises and prizes waiting for you. |
