I make works of art and useful items from reclaimed wood. For example I make a wreath of leaves from 20 types of wood from around the world, many with historic significance. One piece comes from a cabin originally built by George Washington in 1747. My other items include American flags made from NC tobacco sticks over 100 years old. I also make serving trays, Christmas trees and many more. All items come with a description and history of the wood.

I turn wood trees into wooden bowls and such. I place a piece of wood on a nova dvr 16 inch lathe between centers then turn the lathe on at 500 rpm and if it does not shake the lathe I then take a round nose scraper and smooth the outside of the piece of wood and it begins to take on a shape that it wants to become. Then turn the wood around and place it into a chuck then take a bowl gouge and start to hollow out the inside to a rough stage. Then start drying the bowl in microwave then when dry

In my art, i like to capture the beauty in nature. My paintings usually start with an image on paper or on location “En plein air”. Using oil and acrylic paints are my material of choice. With each painting I use an impressionistic technique to bring each piece to life. To me, art is an expression of my personal feelings, the subject or colors that inspire me and my materials and technique. Sharing my love of art using colors or whatever subject matter that inspires me to paint.

I create feel good art with a message. The majority of my designs are painted or crafted digitally and all art pieces incorporate and begin with the message. Sometimes I use funny ideas, some romantic or some poetic. Into each design a famous quote or my own personal writings are added. Pieces are produced on all different mediums from art prints, canvas, wood prints, stationery and more after. I do paint some things originally by hand before digitizing them as well and sell original art too.

I have designed over 20 varieties of fabric flowers that mimic the appearance of fresh flowers. My work includes single flowers, artistic vase arrangements, Ikebana designs with unique bases, and wearable items (headbands, pins). Silk-like polyester fabric is cut, folded, and handsewn into flower petals. Flexible stems have galvanized steel wire interiors, thickened with recycled paper. Connections among leaves, petals, stamens, and stems are handsewn, creating long-lasting and durable designs.

All of our candles are hand poured and made in small batches. Our candles are made out of 100% natural soy wax, natural essential oils, and an untreated wooden wick. The wood wick not only helps the candle to burn slower, but it creates a relaxing crackling sound like a fire place. Our main objective is to provide healthy candles at an affordable price so that families will not have to worry about breathing in harmful chemicals from other types of candles.

I create hammered aluminum jewelry with stained glass and semiprecious stones which is lightweight and tarnish-free. Inspired by nature, many of my pieces feature botanical elements or whimsical sea creatures. Each piece begins with a simple strand of aluminum wire which is shaped and hammered to produce a strong finished piece. The process of hammering also allows me to give the piece a little extra dimension through variations in the width of the wire due to the force of the hammering.

I am maker of handcrafted handbags, purses, totes & accessories. There are three elements that I focus on when making my products. I want them to be functional, lightweight & eye catching. I add pockets to my bags, which is a feature that is often lacking in commercially made bags. I use bag patterns that distribute the weight of the items placed inside them & use durable but lightweight materials. I source all my fabric from independent quilt shops and new fabric being sold off by other sewists.

I use a variety of materials in my jewelry, including, but not limited to, gemstones, glass, ceramics, or metals, but primarily precious metal clay. The construction involves the design, molding, and texturing of the clay into the desired shape. After the clay has dried, it can be sanded or carved further before it is fired in a kiln. Once fired, it is then buffed, tumbled, and polished with multiple grits of sandpaper. A patina is usually applied to bring out the texture.
