A distinctive way to memorialize or honor a loved one or special event while making the community a more beautiful place

The Legacy Giving Program is offered through the Town of Cary as a special way to memorialize or honor an individual, organization, or special event. Your donation toward a tree or bench in the location of your choice includes a personalized plaque with custom text. It is a unique, long-lasting gift that will benefit the community for years to come.

Legacy Tree

Dedicate a young tree to honor an individual or celebrate a special occasion. Trees can be planted in a Town park, greenway, or open space location. A personalized plaque will be included.

Legacy Bench

Dedicate a park bench to honor someone special. Benches are placed in a mutually agreed upon location in a Town park or along a greenway. Benches include a personalized plaque.

How to Make a Legacy Donation

To donate a Legacy Tree, you must submit a completed application. Once we receive your application, you will be contacted to determine the location, discuss details, and submit payment.
